Registration

How do I create an account?

Open Register, choose your account type, fill in the required details, confirm that you are 18 years or older, accept the Terms of Use and submit.

Login

How do I login?

Open Login, enter your email and password. The system will direct you to the correct dashboard based on your role.

Roles

Which account type should I choose?

Choose Business if you need readiness, support or funding. Choose Investor if you want to discover verified opportunities. Choose Stakeholder if you provide support, coordination, programs or institutional services.

Why do users see different dashboards?

UNIDA Gateway uses role-based dashboards. Business, Investor, Stakeholder and Admin users each see different tools and actions.

Profile

What should a business complete?

A business should complete representative details, business information, address, sector, stage, registration details, support needs and funding or partnership needs.

Documents

Which documents are required for a business?

Common documents include representative ID, business license, TIN document, tax document, registration certificate and pitch deck.

Readiness

What is business readiness?

Readiness shows how complete and prepared a business is before it can be reviewed by investors, partners or stakeholders.

Access

Can a business access opportunities immediately?

Basic dashboard access is available after login, but sensitive opportunities or investor connections may require completed verification first.

Investor Profile

What does an investor provide?

Investors provide representative details, investor type, organization information, ticket size, preferred sectors, preferred stages, preferred regions and mandate documents where applicable.

Opportunities

How can investors discover opportunities?

Investors can view verified opportunities, shortlist businesses, request meetings and request more information.

Verification

Do investors need verification?

Yes. Investor verification helps confirm legitimacy, mandate and access level before engaging with sensitive opportunities.

Ticket Size

What is ticket size?

Ticket size is the minimum and maximum amount an investor may consider through equity, debt, grant, partnership or asset finance.

Who is a stakeholder?

A stakeholder can be a government office, bank, innovation hub, NGO, development partner, university, corporate, agency or association.

Support

What support can stakeholders offer?

Stakeholders may offer mentorship, grants, loans, training, policy support, market access, verification support or partnership coordination.

Recommendations

Can stakeholders recommend businesses?

Yes. Stakeholders can review businesses, send recommendations, connect businesses to partners and create follow-ups.

Reports

What reports can stakeholders see?

Stakeholders may view ecosystem reports, readiness summaries, support activities, regions covered and follow-up progress depending on permissions.

Verification and Uploads

Verification

How does verification work?

Save your profile, upload required documents and submit for review. Admin reviewers may approve, reject or request updates.

Statuses

What verification statuses exist?

Common statuses include Profile Started, Profile Saved, Documents Uploaded, Submitted for Review, Under Review, Needs Update, Approved and Verified.

Uploads

Where do I upload documents?

After login, open the Uploads or Required Documents section, upload or mark documents as ready and then submit for verification.

Expiry

What happens if I do not complete verification?

Incomplete verification may expire after a defined period such as 7 days, depending on platform policy.

Admin and Support

Admin

What does Admin manage?

Admin manages users, roles, permissions, verification requests, document reviews, support messages, legal pages, platform content and analytics.

Admin Roles

Which admin roles are supported?

Supported roles include SUPER_ADMIN, ADMIN, VERIFICATION_ADMIN, SUPPORT_ADMIN, FINANCE_ADMIN, CONTENT_ADMIN, PARTNERSHIP_ADMIN and ANALYTICS_ADMIN.

Support

How do I contact support?

Use the support form, chatbot handoff form or platform support email. Complex questions should be forwarded to a human support agent.

Messages

Where do support messages go?

In production, support messages should be stored in the database and may also be forwarded to the support email for follow-up.

Unny

Who is Unny?

Unny is the English assistant for UNIDA Gateway. Unny helps users understand registration, login, verification, documents, opportunities and support.

Rieta

Who is Rieta?

Rieta is the Kiswahili assistant for UNIDA Gateway. Rieta helps users in Kiswahili with onboarding, verification, documents, opportunities and common support questions.

Questions

What can they answer?

They can answer common questions about account creation, login, verification, required documents, opportunities and support handoff.

Human Agent

What if the assistant cannot answer?

The user should leave their name, email, phone number and concern so a human support agent can follow up.

Note: Some demo features may be simulated for product presentation. Production should connect accounts, uploads, verification, support messages and notifications to a secure database and approved workflows.
