UNIDA Gateway Terms of Use
These Terms of Use explain the rules and conditions for accessing and using UNIDA Gateway, an investment ecosystem platform developed by UNIDA TECH LIMITED.
Users must be 18 years or older, provide accurate information, accept platform terms, respect verification requirements, use the platform lawfully and understand that sensitive opportunities may require completed verification before access is granted.
1. Platform Purpose
UNIDA Gateway supports verified business access, investment readiness, stakeholder coordination, opportunity tracking, document review, support handling and ecosystem insights.
The platform may serve businesses, SMEs, startups, companies, investors, stakeholders, government representatives, NGOs, development partners, innovation hubs, banks, universities, associations and administrators.
2. Eligibility
- Users must be 18 years or older to create an account.
- Users must provide truthful, accurate and complete information.
- Organizations must be represented by an authorized person.
- Groups or community organizations may be required to provide a WEO/VEO letter or official introduction letter.
- Businesses, investors and stakeholders may be required to complete verification before accessing sensitive platform areas.
3. Account Types
For businesses seeking readiness support, funding, partnership, verification, opportunity submission or ecosystem visibility.
For individuals or organizations seeking to discover verified opportunities, shortlist businesses, request meetings or request more information.
For institutions such as government offices, NGOs, banks, hubs, universities, development partners, agencies or associations providing support or coordination.
For authorized platform administrators managing users, roles, documents, support, verification, policies, analytics and system settings.
4. User Responsibilities
By using UNIDA Gateway, users agree to:
- Provide accurate profile, contact, organization and verification information.
- Keep login credentials secure.
- Upload only lawful, valid and authorized documents.
- Respond to verification update requests when required.
- Use the platform for legitimate business, investment, stakeholder or support purposes.
- Not submit false, misleading, expired, forged or unauthorized documents.
- Not attempt to bypass verification or access areas they are not authorized to access.
5. Verification Terms
UNIDA Gateway may require users to complete verification before accessing sensitive features, investor opportunities, stakeholder recommendations or certain platform dashboards.
Verification may include profile review, document review, identity confirmation, business registration review, mandate review, authorization review, support eligibility review and administrator approval.
Verification stages may include:
- Profile Started
- Profile Saved
- Documents Uploaded
- Submitted for Review
- Under Review
- Needs Update
- Approved
- Verified
Incomplete verification may expire after a defined period, such as 7 days, depending on platform policy. If a submission expires or is rejected, the user may be required to update documents or restart the verification process.
6. Document Uploads
Users may be asked to upload documents such as representative ID, business license, TIN document, tax document, registration certificate, pitch deck, investment mandate, organization proof, authorization letter, WEO/VEO letter or other supporting evidence.
Users confirm that uploaded documents are authentic, lawful and submitted with proper authorization.
7. Opportunities and Platform Access
UNIDA Gateway may limit access to opportunities or sensitive information until the user has completed the required profile and verification steps.
Visibility of opportunities, shortlists, meeting requests, recommendations and reports may depend on user role, permissions, verification status and platform policy.
8. Support, Unny and Rieta
UNIDA Gateway may provide support through forms, platform messages and assistants such as Unny for English and Rieta for Kiswahili.
Unny and Rieta may answer common questions about registration, login, verification, documents, opportunities and support. Complex or unsupported questions may be forwarded to a human support agent.
9. Prohibited Use
- Submitting false or forged documents.
- Using another person’s account without permission.
- Attempting to access unauthorized dashboards or data.
- Using the platform for fraud, impersonation or unlawful activity.
- Uploading malicious files or harmful content.
- Interfering with platform security, availability or operation.
10. Platform Limitations
The demo version of UNIDA Gateway is intended to show product flow and user experience. Some functions may be simulated and may not represent a final production environment.
Production use requires database storage, secure uploads, audit logs, role-based permissions, notifications, admin workflows, legal review and stronger security controls.
11. No Guaranteed Funding or Investment
UNIDA Gateway may help businesses prepare, verify and become visible to investors or stakeholders. However, the platform does not guarantee funding, investment, partnership, approval, grants or business success.
12. Data and Privacy
Use of UNIDA Gateway is also governed by the Privacy Policy. By using the platform, users consent to the processing of account, profile, verification, support and platform activity information for legitimate platform purposes.
13. Account Suspension or Restriction
UNIDA Gateway may restrict, suspend or remove access where users provide false information, misuse the platform, fail verification, violate these terms or create security or trust risks.
14. Updates to Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time to reflect product, operational, legal or security changes. Updated versions should be published on this page.
